Gay Scene
In Leeds, the gay nightlife scene is well established and is the largest in Yorkshire. The scene is mostly located around Lower Briggate. Some popular clubs are the Bridge Inn, the New Penny and Queen’s Court. There are also venues which offer more contemporary and friendly environments such as Bar Fibre. In summer months, the courtyard between Bar Fibre and Queens Court transforms into a dynamic beer garden.
Music
Leeds also has a prosperous rock scene; there are many recent and innovative bands like Sisters of Mercy, Black Star Liner and Embrace. The favourite place to listen rock music is “The Warehouse”.

Other popular venues for live music are the Cockpit, New Roscoe, The Leeds West Indian Centre and The Wardrobe. There is no a specific day for clubbing, but weekends are preferred for many people who come from all over the country to have a good time in the best clubs of Leeds.
The biggest and most popular club is Majestyk and the ambience gets better if you are with a big crowd. Other interesting place is the Orbit in Morley where techno music is the main attraction. Leeds is also home for many “super-clubs” such as Oceana.
For people who just want to drink a cocktail to the sound of some live music with relaxed surroundings, the perfect clubs are the Royal Park Cellars, Grove Inn and Fenton.
In summer, Leeds is home for an amazing festival: Rhythms of the City. There you will enjoy many good sorts of entertainment and music from around the world.
